If you follow me on Instagram or know me, you will know how much I love secondhand bargains and trawling charity shops and preloved boutiques for my wardrobe updates.
Not only do I save money and find some absolute gems and unique pieces, but most importantly, shopping preloved is the best way we can shop for our environment – it aids in water preservation, decreases landfill waste, reduces chemical pollution and lowers our carbon footprint. I will be writing more about this soon (watch this space) but for now, I wanted to let you know about a vey special event I have coming up in June at preloved designer boutique Encore in Cirencester…
I met the lovely Linda, owner of Encore on Instagram and we started chatting about doing a style event together focussing on sustainability in fashion and shopping preloved. I am so keen to share my passion for preloved shopping and spread the word on ‘slow fashion’ and just love Linda’s boutique and her ever-changing collection of pre-loved pieces.
So here it is – an evening of slow fashion and high style on Thursday June 13th. I will be offering style advice galore and tips on how to shop preloved, the importance of shopping preloved and supporting the slow fashion movement, what to look for and how to find the bargains, those timeless classics to invest in, the shoes, bags and accessories that stand the test of time, how to shop and style vintage and how to incorporate new (or old) colours, prints, shapes and styles into your wardrobe and how to wear them. I will also be on hand to help you shop and to answer any questions you have.
I do hope you can join Linda and I on Thursday 13th June at Encore in Cirencester from 7.30pm – 9.30pm. Tickets are £15, include a glass of prosecco and 20% off purchases.
